Annual Pledge Drive

As you know, Irvine Unified is one of the HIGHEST PERFORMING school districts in California. But we are also one of the LOWEST FUNDED district in the state and THE LOWEST FUNDED in Orange County.

During our annual Fall pledge drive, the Portola Springs PTA asks each family for a donation to support the education of our children. Our Fall Pledge Drive is one of our primary fundraisers for the school year.  The success of our Pledge Drive replaces the need for our parents and students to sell cookie dough, gift wraps, candles or other door-to-door fundraisers held at other schools throughout the year.  The PTA receives 100% of pledge drive proceeds, and our pledge goal for the 2017-2018 year is to raise $50,000.  The recommended amount is $100 per student. Your donation is needed more than ever this year as we begin a new journey to support our new school and still provide resources that enrich our children’s education. Please consider making a contribution to the PTA annual pledge drive.  It is critical that we all work together to fill the holes left by state budget cuts to ensure that our children have a quality education.
